New Laptop, E1505 Dual Core

With the announcement of Ableton Live 6, I jumped at the opportunity to grab a nice new Dual Core laptop from Dell with a whopping 30% Off, including a free Hard Drive Upgrade (7200rpm) & Memory Upgrade (1GB).

E1505 Laptop
Here’s some tech specs for all you nerdy types:

Inspiron E1505 Intel® Core™ Duo Proc T2500 (2GHz/667MHz/2 X 2MB L2 Cache)
LCD Panel 15.4 inch UltraSharp™ Wide Screen SXGA+ Display with TrueLife™
Memory 2GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz, 2 Dimm
Video Card 128MB ATI MOBILITY™ RADEON® X1300 HyperMemory™
Hard Drive 100GB 7200rpm SATA Hard Drive

This should ensure that the mighty Live 6 runs like a dream. Anyone else Beta tested Live 6 yet? Please leave some comments & let us know what you think.

Yep so Dell USA fucked up, they cancelled my order for no reason & “forgot” to tell me. How a company can do this is beyond me. I rang them up to see what was wrong as apparrently my credit card company had declined the transaction. Surely any reputable company would ask you to repay with another card? Rather than cancel the WHOLE transaction. For this reason I lost the coupon code I had used & they couldn’t give me the same deal again. What a load of bullshit. How can you not just reinstate the other order rather than having to do it ALL again only to tell me that I won’t get the same discount.

SO I rang Dell here in the UK to see what they could do & they managed to match the deal & also give me twice as much RAM & an upgraded Processor.
